About Angel Cakes

Angel Cakes Charity was born out of my love for baking and the realization there are children in the state of Idaho not receiving a cake to celebrate their birthday. Angel Cakes Charity honors the birthdays of children with the gift of a homemade birthday cake. Children might be in foster care where both money and time are limited and some may be homeless and in a shelter. As most of us can recall, a birthday to a child is a huge event.

Angel Cakes Charity also makes very special birthday cakes for hospice patients. We ask about a person’s life and bake a cake to capture an aspect of that life and the taste of a cake they have always loved. What a wonderful honor to bake a person’s last cake to celebrate his or her birth.

Our nonprofit organization consists of over 60 “Angel Bakers” in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Emmett, and McCall, and we are growing. Our bakers volunteer their time, talents, and resources to give hospice patients, veterans, and at-risk children a happy day of celebration. A cake from Angel Cakes is homemade, delicious, and beautifully presented as a gift to the recipient. Our charity partners include hospice facilities, Health and Welfare (foster children), the Ronald McDonald House, and the State Veterans' Home.

My aspiration is to see Angel Cakes become a statewide jewel in Idaho making lives happier and leaving people knowing our communities do care and they are loved.
